Bolt anchor FAZ II Plus

Bengaluru (Karnataka) (India), August 29: Compared to its predecessor, the fischer FAZ II Plus bolt anchor is characterized by a significantly higher tensile load capacity (ETA) and material strength. The setting process for sizes M8 to M24 has been optimized and is now faster and easier, without the need to clean the drill hole. The versatile anchor is approved for a wide range of building materials, including concrete, sand-lime brick and steel fiber concrete.

Most notably, the FAZ II Plus is ETA rated for dynamic applications and has an impressive 120-year lifespan, making it ideal for projects with stringent requirements. According to Mayank Kalra, Managing Director of fischer India, “This high-performance anchor is designed to meet the highest standards in various demanding applications and is perfectly suited to the diverse climatic conditions of the Indian market.”

FAZ II Plus, the latest generation of fischer bolt anchors, is designed for the transfer of high static and medium dynamic loads in cracked and non-cracked concrete. The anchors are also suitable for use in sand-lime brick (except for dynamic applications). A European Technical Assessment (ETA) ensures additional safety. A general building approval enables anchoring in steel fiber concrete with the variants FAZ II, FAZ II R and FAZ II HCR (diameter M6-M24). With the powerful anchor, railings, steel beams, pipe suspensions, cable trays, brackets, facade substructures, wooden structures, elevators, conveyor belts, hoists and much more can be permanently and safely attached to different building materials.

The new ETA confirms the suitability of the diameter variants M16-M24 in galvanized and stainless steel for dynamic loads. Compared to the previous generation, the tensile load-bearing capacity has increased and a higher-strength material is used. This means that fewer fastening points and anchors are required per application and project, which reduces the time and cost required. An external assessment confirms that the FAZ II Plus, with a service life of 120 years, is ideal for infrastructure projects and long-lasting structures. For applications in earthquake zones, the assessment (ETA) covers the seismic performance categories C1 and C2, depending on the diameter, both with and without an FFD filling disc for filling annular gaps.

In addition to incorrect drilling, a compliant assembly (ETA) can also be carried out. The assessment also includes nuts according to ISO and demonstrates higher fire resistance values than the previous product, with temperatures up to 1,350 °C and a fire duration of up to 180 minutes according to the RWS fire curve.

Users can install the FAZ II Plus bolt anchor in holes created with hollow, hammer or diamond drills. Depending on the situation, the user can install it in pre-positioned, through-positioned or spaced-apart installation. Installation is quicker and easier as no hole cleaning is required. By tightening the nut, the conical bolt is pulled into the expansion clip and expands firmly against the hole wall. The anchor can be loaded immediately. An additional Dynamic Set facilitates the safe installation of dynamic applications. The FAZ II Plus M16-24 is therefore an efficient fastening solution under dynamic loads with few load changes.
