With the premiere of Dandadan In just a few weeks, the cast that will provide the English dubs of the upcoming anime series has been announced. As announced last weekend at Anime NYC, the English cast for Dandadan includes some big stars, including Abby Trott (Demon Slayer), A.J. Beckles (Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War) and more.

Produced by Science Saru, the Dandadan The anime series is set to premiere worldwide on October 3rd. It will stream on both Netflix and Crunchyroll. The English dub premiered last weekend at Anime NYC, giving fans their first look at the series.
Directed by Fuga Yamashiro based on screenplays by Hiroshi Seku, Dandadan is an adaptation of the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu. The manga and anime are full of supernatural and paranormal themes, as the story follows two high school students – one who believes in ghosts but not aliens, and the other who believes in aliens but not ghosts. As they try to prove to each other that what they believe in is real, they both encounter paranormal activity that leads to both gaining powers.
The official synopsis is:
This is a story about Momo, a high school student who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo saves Okarun from bullying, they start talking. However, an argument breaks out between them, as Momo believes in ghosts but denies the existence of aliens, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies the existence of ghosts.
To prove to each other that their beliefs are real, Momo goes to an abandoned hospital where a UFO was sighted and Okarun goes to a tunnel rumored to be haunted. To their surprise, they are both struck by overwhelming paranormal activity beyond their imagination. In the midst of this predicament, Momo awakens to her hidden strength and Okarun gains the power of a curse to overcome these new dangers! Their fateful love also begins!?

For those who can’t wait for the series’ premiere in October, there will be a cinema screening of the first three episodes entitled Dandadan: First EncounterThe film will be released in North American theaters on September 13th.
