The Nigerian, who has reportedly passed the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) 17 times, has announced that he will host a resilience tour in the United States.

Emmanuel Ahmadu made headlines in June 2024 when he revealed that he had sat for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) examination 17 times.

Ahmadu to anchor projects in Ohio

According to The Cable, Ahmadu will host a project in Northeast Ohio, USA, called “Resilience Rise: Mental Health Awareness Tour.”

According to Ahmadu, the tour is being held in collaboration with Triumphators LLC. Other stakeholders, including the U.S. Department of Education, are also supporting the project.

The graduate, who has received two doctorates, is embarking on a journey to address the mental health issues of students. Ahmadu will visit high schools and colleges in the area, providing students with tools and inspiration to overcome personal adversity and succeed academically and personally.

Ahmadu launches campaign against social vices in the USA

According to Ahmadu, the graduate wants to counteract the widespread trend of social vices, depression and suicide among young people, which has become a major problem.

According to statistics, nearly one in five Ohio students reports persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness and depression, and suicide is the second leading cause of death among Ohioans ages 10 to 24.

The initiative aims to provide students with mental resilience, support networks, and access to community resources. By bringing this program to Northeast Ohio, Ahmadu hopes to positively impact students’ lives and help them overcome mental health challenges.

How Nigerian students have passed WAEC since 2014

Legit.ng had earlier reported that WAEC will release the 2024 WASSCE results on Monday, August 12.

Amos Dangut, the head of the Nigerian national chapter of WAEC, announced at a press conference on Monday that 1,814,736 candidates had registered for the 2024 examination.

Following the publication of the results, statistics on Nigerians passing the West African exam appeared.
